The Parliament of Åland (''Ålands lagting'') is the unicameral legislature of Åland, an autonomous, Swedish-speaking region of Finland. The Lagting has 30 members who make laws for Åland and oversee its government. Committees Most parliamentary work is carried out by three standing committees: * Legal Affairs and Culture * Economic and Monetary Affairs * Social Affairs and Local Environment Elections Members are elected every four years using proportional representation and the d'Hondt method. The Åland Progress Group () was a political party in the Åland Islands that contested elections in 1999 and 2003.
