Oje Ken Ollivierre (born 14 June 1981), popularly known as Protoje, is a Jamaican of Afro-European heritage, a contemporary reggae singer and songwriter. Black Uhuru is a Jamaican reggae group formed in 1972, initially as Uhuru ( Swahili for 'freedom'). The group has undergone several line-up changes over the years, with Derrick "Duckie" Simpson as the mainstay. Jesse David Royal (born 29 April 1989) is a Jamaican reggae musician. Early life Jesse Royal (Jesse David Leroi Grey) was born in St James Parish, Jamaica to a family of Maroon ancestry and Rasta faith. The Royal family relocated to Kingston in 1997 where his father took a job with a telecommunications firm. While in school Royal became friends with Daniel Bambata Marley, son of reggae artist Ziggy Marley. Music career Early life (2010–2016) Royal began his career being mentored by the late Fatis Burrell (the father of one of Royal's classmates), who produced Jesse's first two releases, ''Singing the Blues'' and ''Long Days and Short Nights'' in 2010. Anna-Sharé Blake (born November 21, 1991), known professionally as Sevana, is a Jamaican singer and actress. Sevana released her self-titled EP in 2016, as part of her former label In.Digg.Nation Collective. She made her major label debut in 2020 with ''Be Somebody''. Life and career 1991–2014: Early life Sevana was born Anna-Sharé Blake in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica, in 1991. When she was young, she was originally interested in becoming a doctor. In 2008, at 16 years old, Sevana entered the local music competition '' Digicel Rising Stars'' with two friends from her school and formed the girl group SLR.
