President's Choice
President's Choice (Canadian French, French: le Choix du Président) or PC is a line of grocery products and services offered by the Canada-based Loblaw Companies, Loblaw Companies Ltd. History President's Blend The first President's Choice (PC) products began appearing on Loblaw store shelves in 1984, but the concept was created the year before as the company marketed a new ground coffee. Dave Nichol, president of Loblaw Supermarkets, was looking for products to add to the company's lineup of No Name (brand), No Name generic items and had even begun offering gourmet items in the familiar unbranded yellow packaging. Sam's Choice
Sam's Choice is a private label brand created by Cott Beverages for Walmart stores. The brand was introduced as "Sam's American Choice" in 1991; the name has since been shortened to simply "Sam's Choice". It is named after Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart as their version of the President's Choice label with their products initially developed by Dave Nichol, who created the brand. Lucky Stores are a pair of American supermarket chains plus a defunct historical chain. The original chain was founded in San Leandro, California, and operated from 1935 until 1999. The Lucky brand was revived ''circa'' 2007 and is now operated as two distinct chains: Albertsons operates Lucky in Utah and Save Mart Supermarkets operates Lucky California in Northern California. The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO, ) is a Crown agency that retails and distributes alcoholic beverages throughout the Canadian province of Ontario.
