Predation
Predation is a biological interaction in which one organism, the predator, kills and eats another organism, its prey. Terri Blackstock
Terri Blackstock (born 1957) is an American Christian fiction author with a focus on suspense novels. She began her career writing romance novels under the pseudonyms Terri Herrington and Tracy Hughes. Early life and education Blackstock was born in Belleville, Illinois in 1957, and her family moved multiple times during her childhood to follow her father's career as a US Air Force officer. At age 11, she began writing poetry. After her parents divorced, she moved to Mississippi with her mother and graduated from Wingfield High School in Jackson, Mississippi in 1975. She completed a bachelor's degree in English from Northeast Louisiana University in 1981. She left graduate school to focus on writing. Christopher Golden
Christopher Golden (born July 15, 1967) is an American writer. Early life Golden was born and raised in Massachusetts, where he still lives with his family. He graduated from Tufts University. Career As well as novels, Golden has written comic books and video games, and co-written the online animated series '' Ghosts of Albion'' with actress/writer/director Amber Benson. He co-created and co-writes the Dark Horse Comics series ''Baltimore'' with Mike Mignola and wrote the introduction to the now collectible, 200-only copies, slipcased edition of Joe Hill's book of short stories titled '' 20th Century Ghosts''. Michael Ridpath is an English author of thrillers involving the world of high finance. He was born in Devon in 1961 and grew up in Yorkshire. He was educated at Millfield School and Merton College, Oxford, and spent eight years working as a bond trader at an international bank in the City of London. His past employers include Saudi International Bank and Apax Partners. Ridpath lives in north London with three children and his wife, Barbara Ridpath. Russell Braddon
Russell Reading Braddon (25 January 1921 – 20 March 1995) was an Australian writer of novels, biographies and TV scripts. His chronicle of his four years as a prisoner of war, '' The Naked Island'', sold more than a million copies. Braddon was born on 25 January 1921 in North Sydney, New South Wales. He was the son of Thelma Doris (née Reading) and Henry Russell Braddon. His father, a barrister, was the grandson of Tasmanian premier Edward Braddon. Braddon enlisted in the Australian Army during World War II, serving in the Malayan campaign. He was held as a prisoner of war by the Japanese in Pudu and Changi prisons and on the Thailand-Burma Railway between 1942 and 1945. During this time he met Ronald Searle, whose Changi sketches illustrate ''The Naked Island''. After the war, he went on to study law at University of Sydney. Denis Pitts
Denis Pitts (6 January 1930 – 19 April 1994) was a journalist, filmmaker and novelist. Denis Pitts first became widely known for his reports on the Suez Crisis and his subsequent articles in the New Statesman. In Suez he made the acquaintance of Michael Parkinson, who at the time was in charge of liaising with the press, and they would later work together for the Granada regional news programme, Scene at 6.30. While at Granada he wrote an episode of Coronation Street and did a series of interviews with Clement Attlee which the former prime minister agreed to if published posthumously. He continued to work in television making a film called ‘What the Hell Happens in Marlborough?’ which caused a stir locally. Michaelbrent Collings is an American horror novelist. He wrote the screenplays for two horror films: ''Barricade'' (2012) and ''Darkroom'' (2013). He has self-published many novels, with three of his novels being finalists for the Bram Stoker Award in 2016 and 2025, three being finalists for the Whitney Awards in 2014 (Mystery/Suspense), 2017 (Young Adult Speculative), and 2024 (Middle Grade), and two being finalists for the Dragon Award, both for Best Horror, in 2020 and 2021. Edward Joseph Gorman Jr. (November 2, 1941 – October 14, 2016) was an American writer and short fiction anthologist.
