Praça Das Esculturas
Praça das Esculturas (Portuguese language, Portuguese: ''Sculpture Square''), also known as O Jardim das Esculturas ou Praça das Esculturas de Vaccarini, is a sculpture garden, sculpture park in Altinópolis, in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, Brazil. The park houses the works of the Italian-Brazilian artist Bassano Vaccarini (1914 - 2002). Praça das Esculturas, which opened in 1992, covers at the highest point of the city. Vaccarini emigrated to Brazil in 1946 after World War II, WW2 and worked as a set designer for the Teatro Brasileiro de Comédia. In 1980 he opened a studio in Altinópolis and the municipality became home to his works, which are primarily in concrete and depict women and families. In the design of the park Vaccarini grouped 42 sculptures on seven thematic monuments. Altinópolis
Altinópolis is a Brazilian Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo. The population is 16,203 (2020 est.) in an area of 929 km². Teatro Brasileiro De Comédia
The Teatro Brasileiro de Comédia (English language, English: Brazilian Comedy Theater - TBC) is located in the Bela Vista neighborhood, in the Central Zone of São Paulo, central zone of the Brazilian São Paulo, city of São Paulo. It was founded in 1948 by businessman Franco Zampari, with the financial support of part of São Paulo's elite. Brazilian Sculpture
The roots of Brazilian sculpture have been traced back to the late 16th century, emerging soon after the first settlements in the newly discovered land. Through the following century, most of the sculpture in Brazil was brought from Portugal and displayed Baroque features.
