Porte De Clichy (Paris Métro)
Porte de Clichy station () is a station on Line 13 and Line 14 of the Paris Métro and RER C, as well as a stop on Île-de-France tramway Line 3b. Located in the 17th arrondissement, the Métro station is situated on the northwestern branch of Line 13, under the Avenue de Clichy. It serves the Tribunal de grande instance de Paris. The station is named after the ''Porte de Clichy'', a gate in the nineteenth century Thiers wall of Paris, which led to Clichy. History The station opened 20 January 1912 with the inauguration of the second branch of Line B of the Nord-Sud Company from La Fourche, and formed the branch's terminus. On 27 March 1931, Line B became Line 13 of the Métro network. The station remained the line's terminus until 3 May 1980, when the extension to Gabriel Péri opened. MP 14 (Paris Métro)
The MP 14 (; ) is a Rubber-tyred metro, rubber-tyred electric multiple unit for the Paris Métro. Manufactured by Alstom as part of the Alstom Metropolis family of units, it is the seventh generation of the rubber-tyred class of trains to be used on the system and is used on Paris Métro Line 14, Line 14, Paris Métro Line 4, Line 4 and Paris Métro Line 11, Line 11. In the future, trains could be ordered for Paris Métro Line 1, Line 1 and Paris Métro Line 6, Line 6. The automated (driverless) version of MP 14 started entering service on Line 14 in 2020, and on Line 4 in 2022, and a manually operated version started entering service on Line 11 in June 2023. Gabriel Péri (Paris Métro)
Gabriel Péri (; 9 February 1902 — 15 December 1941) was a prominent French French Communist Party, communist journalist and politician who served in the Chamber of Deputies (France), Chamber of Deputies from 1932 to 1940 for Seine-et-Oise. A member of the French Resistance in World War II, he was executed in German military administration in occupied France during World War II, German-occupied France at Fort Mont-Valérien. He was deemed Mort pour la France. Early life Péri was born in Toulon to a Corsica, Corsican family. Forced to give up his studies at an early age, the World War I, First World War and Russian Revolution had a profound effect on him and his involvement in revolutionary politics. Noctilien
Noctilien is the night bus service in Paris and its agglomeration. It is managed by the Île-de-France Mobilités (formerly the STIF), the Île-de-France regional public transit authority, and operated by RATP (with 32 lines) and Transilien SNCF (with 21 lines). It replaced the previous '' Noctambus'' service on the night of 20/21 September 2005, providing for a larger number of lines than before and claiming to be better adapted to night-time transport needs. In place of the previous hub-and-spoke scheme in which all buses terminated at and departed from the heart of Paris at Châtelet , Noctilien's new service includes buses operating between '' banlieues'' (the communes surrounding Paris proper) as well as outbound lines running from Paris' four main railway stations: Gare de l'Est, Gare de Lyon, Gare Montparnasse and Gare Saint-Lazare. Pontoise Station
Pontoise station () is the train station serving the city of Pontoise and the surrounding suburbs. The station is a large building situated on Place Charles de Gaulle itself at the bottom end of Rue Thiers. Rue Thiers was built for the station and links Pontoise's Medieval centre to the railway. The station was opened to link Paris to Dieppe, it is parallel to the line with a long footbridge stretching over the lines to the Canrobert bus station. Trains no longer serve Dieppe (now rerouted via Rouen) but is well served by regional trains (Transilien Transilien () is the brand name given to the commuter rail and tram-train network operated by SNCF and serving Île-de-France, the region surrounding and including the city of Paris. Porte De Versailles
Porte de Versailles () is a station on line 12 of the Paris Métro, a stop on tramway T3a as well as the southern terminus of tramway T2 in the 15th arrondissement. It is named after the ''Porte de Versailles'', a gate in the 19th century Thiers wall of Paris, which led to the city of Versailles. History The station opened on 5 November 1910 as part of the original section of the Nord-Sud Company's line A between Porte de Versailles and Notre-Dame-de-Lorette. On 23 April 1930, a collision between two trains near the station resulted in the deaths of two people and 37 injured. A northbound train parked in front of a red signal between ''Porte de Versailles'' and Convention was hit in the rear by another train that had passed two stop signals at full speed. Parisine
Parisine is a typeface that was created by Jean-François Porchez and is distributed by Typofonderie. The typeface is used in Paris Métro, tramways and buses and the parts of RER parts that are operated by the RATP Group in Île-de-France. In 2015, the Osaka City Subway in Japan adopted Parisine as the Latin-character component of its new signage system, which is gradually being introduced throughout its network. Parisine The font was originally developed in 1996 as a custom typeface in Bold and Bold Italic developed for the RATP to improve signage legibility and space economy. The design was based on the proportions of Helvetica Bold but is condensed at 90%. In 1999, the font was extended to a font family for multiple uses like communication material and maps. Platform screen doors (PSDs), also known as platform edge doors (PEDs), are used at some train, rapid transit and people mover stations to separate the platform from train tracks, as well as on some bus rapid transit, tram and light rail systems.
