Porsche–Piëch Family
The Porsche family (also known as Porsche–Piëch family) is a prominent Austrian-German family of industrialists descending from the Austrian-Bohemian-German automotive pioneer, Ferdinand Porsche. Its members control Porsche SE and have a majority voting right over Volkswagen AG, the largest automaker in the world. The Porsche family headquarters are in the Austrian town of Zell am See. The family is the 7th richest family of Germany (2022) with an estimated net worth of 66.5 billion euros. Ferdinand Porsche
Ferdinand Porsche (3 September 1875 – 30 January 1951) was a German automotive engineering, automotive engineer and founder of the Porsche, Porsche AG. He is best known for creating the first Petrol engine, gasoline–Electric motor, electric Hybrid electric vehicle, hybrid vehicle (Lohner–Porsche), the Volkswagen Beetle, the Auto Union racing cars, the Mercedes-Benz SSK, Mercedes-Benz SS/SSK, and several other important developments and Porsche automobiles. Louise Piëch
Louise Hedwig Anna Wilhelmine Piëch (née Porsche; 29 August 1904, in Wiener Neustadt – 10 February 1999, in Zell am See) was the daughter of automotive pioneer Ferdinand Porsche. In 1928, she married Anton Piëch, a lawyer from Vienna who from 1941 to 1945 led the KdF-Wagen (Volkswagen) factory in KdF-Stadt (present day Wolfsburg). The couple had four children: Ernst, Louise, Ferdinand and Hans-Michel. In 1943, Louise Piëch and her husband Anton Piëch transferred the Austrian assets of Porsche KG into their own company, Porsche Konstruktionen Ges.m.b.H., based in Gmünd. Heinrich Nordhoff
Heinz Heinrich Nordhoff (6 January 1899 – 12 April 1968) was a German engineer who led the rebuilding of Volkswagen (VW) after World War II. He was featured on the cover of ''Time'' magazine on Feb. 15, 1954. In 1948, Nordhoff accepted a British invitation to assume the directorship of VW, which had been revived as a functioning concern by the British under the direction of Ivan Hirst. Nordhoff subsequently guided the company to become the fourth largest automotive company at the time of his death in 1968. Background Nordhoff was born in Hildesheim, the son of a banker. He graduated from the Technische Hochschule Charlottenburg, where he became a member of the Roman Catholic fraternity Askania-Burgundia. Susanne Porsche (née Bresser, born 4 June 1952 in Frankfurt) is a German film producer and investor. Ferdinand Alexander Porsche (11 December 1935 – 5 April 2012), also known by the nickname "Butzi", was a German-Austrian designer whose best known product was the first Porsche 911.
