Podilsko–Vyhurivska Line
The Podilsko–Vyhurivska line () formerly the ''Podilsko–Voskresenska line'' () will be the fourth addition to the Kyiv Metro system in Kyiv, Ukraine. Presently under construction, when finished, it will contain 18 stations and be approximately 20 kilometers long. This line will serve as an important relief for existing and over-stretched transfer points. The first segment is due to open after 2022, with the project being fully completed by 2030. This line is colored orange on the maps. Plan and construction Like most Kyiv Metro lines, it will open in a set of stages. The first is planned to be a three-station deep-level segment which will run from the existing Vokzalna station of the Sviatoshynsko–Brovarska line northwards to Hlybochytska. Livoberezhna Line (Kyiv Metro)
Livoberezhna line () was a proposed fifth metro line of the Kyiv Metro system, which was planned to serve the left bank neighborhoods of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The line is typically colored sky blue on the maps. History The line was proposed to have a transfer station with metro lines which would connect them to the city's right bank, including the Livoberezhna station of the Sviatoshynsko–Brovarska line and a future undecided station of the Podilsko–Vyhurivska line which is currently under construction. Kyiv Light Rail
Kyiv Light Rail or Kyiv Express Tram (, translit.: ''Kyivs’kyi shvydkisnyi tramvai'') consists of two light rail lines with rapid transit sections in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The system is largely grade-separated and is only connected to Kyiv's regular tram system at Starovokzalna and Myloslavska. The two separate light rail lines are not connected. The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany) (, ) is one of the two passenger airports of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, the other being Boryspil International Airport. Solomianskyi District
The Solomianskyi District is a district in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Located in the western part of the city, in the basin of Lybid river, Dniepr's tributary. Named after village of Solomianka that became part of Kyiv in 1858. Established as a district in 1921. Reogarnized in 2001. An area of the district was settled since the Middle Ages. Troieshchyna
The Troieshchyna, also known since 1997 as Vyhurivshchyna-Troieshchyna or Vygurivshchyna-Troieshchyna, is a large neighbourhood of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Troieshchyna is an outskirt located on the city's northern left bank and is administratively part of the Desnianskyi District. Overview The neighbourhood is a large whole-planned bedroom district housing the population of at least 240,000 residents but also includes a small industrial area. Troieshchyna only became part of Kyiv municipality in 1988; prior to that it was a village of Kyiv Oblast which still exists on the edge of the new neighborhood. Obolon Raion
Obolonskyi District is an urban district of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Obolonskyi District encompasses territories far beyond of its historical neighborhood sharing the same name. It was formed on 3 March 1975 and initially called as Minskyi District. In 2001 it was renamed after its historical neighborhood. Its current population is 290,000 inhabitants. Kurenivka
Kurenivka () is a historical neighbourhood in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is located between the neighbourhoods of Podil, Obolon, Priorka, and Syrets. History Kurenivka has been known since the 17th century as a suburb of the city of Kyiv. Here were located several ''kurins'' of the Kyiv Cossack Kosh. Some historians attribute the origin of the name with these Cossack camps, with ''kurin'' meaning Cossack caps. Later the suburb became a cottage settlement. With Kyiv's expansion through the centuries, Kurenivka was slowly populated. These inhabitants bought out land, and created their gardens. This had made the area more like a neighbourhood, serving Kyiv with various grocery products. Trukhaniv Island
The Trukhaniv Island () is located on the Dnieper, Dnieper River opposite the historic Podil neighbourhood of the city of Kyiv. Location The island is located on the north side where the Dnieper enters the premises of Kyiv city, with its north part extending some distance north towards the mouth of Desna River. It is located in the confluence of both Desna River and Dnieper, Dnieper River.
