Plaistow, Bromley
Plaistow ( , , or ) is an area of south-east London located in the London Borough of Bromley and, until 1965, in the historic county of Kent. It is located south of Downham and Grove Park and north of Sundridge Park and Bromley. Nowadays Plaistow overlaps somewhat with Sundridge, for example the main Sundridge Park shopping parade by the station sits directly east of Plaistow Green, with business and facilities in the area using the two names interchangeably. Plaistow now refers especially to the area north of Sundridge Park station along Burnt Ash Lane, part of the A2212 road which runs north to south between Grove Park and Bromley. Plaistow Tube Station
Plaistow ( or ) is a London Underground station on Plaistow Road in the London Borough of Newham in Greater London. It is on the District and Hammersmith & City lines between West Ham and Upton Park stations, and is located in Travelcard Zone 3. History The London, Tilbury and Southend Railway direct line from Bow to Barking was constructed east to west through the middle of the Parish of West Ham in 1858. Before this, trains took a longer route to the north via Stratford and Forest Gate on the Eastern Counties Railway's line. The new line opened with stations initially at Bromley, Plaistow and East Ham. Upton Park was added as a new station to the east in 1877 and West Ham was added to the west in 1901. From 18 May 1869 the North London Railway ran a daily service to Plaistow via the Bow–Bromley curve, terminating at the northern bay platform. Plaistow (, ) is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 7,830 at the 2020 census. History Plaistow was officially established as a town in 1749 after the 1739 resolution of a long-running boundary dispute between the Province of Massachusetts Bay and the Province of New Hampshire. It is the only town outside the United Kingdom with the name Plaistow. In 1776 the western part of Plaistow became a separate town, Atkinson. The present town hall was built in 1895. Plaistow, West Sussex
Plaistow ( ) is a village and civil parish in the north of the Chichester District of West Sussex, England. There is a village green, a recreation ground, a children's playground, a village pond, a shop, a pub (''The Sun Inn'') and the Anglicanism, Anglican Church. There are over thirty Grade II listed buildings in the village. The Sun Inn was purchased by the Pullen family in 1807. Holy Trinity Church (a Chapel of Ease) was once a wooden structure which was destroyed by fire. The church was rebuilt in 1859. Plaistow and Kirdford Primary School was built in 1869. A plaque on the front of the school's original Victorian building acknowledges the significant funding from John Napper, Esquire of Ifold House, who then owned much of the land in the civil parish.
