Pirates Of Malaysia
''The Pirates of Malaysia'' is a 1964 swashbuckler directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Steve Reeves as Sandokan the pirate. This film was a sequel to Reeve's 1963 film '' Sandokan the Great'', also directed by Lenzi. Malaysian rebel, Sandokan, with his group of renegades, tries to thwart a British general from forcing the good Sultan Hassim to resign in favour of the Imperial crown. Plot The cruel Lord James Guillonk, faithful steward of Queen Victoria, is governor of the territories of Borneo and Malaysia. His archenemy is the Indian pirate Sandokan, who along with his band of rebels, the Tigers, has been leading attacks against the British forces. Umberto Lenzi
Umberto Lenzi (6 August 1931 – 19 October 2017) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and novelist. A fan of film since young age, Lenzi studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and made his first film in 1958 which went unreleased, while his official debut happened in 1961 with ''Queen of the Seas''. Lenzi's films of the 1960s followed popular trends of the era, which led to him directing several spy and erotic thriller films. He followed in suit in the 1970s making ''giallo'' films, crime films and making the first Italian cannibal film with ''Man from the Deep River''. He continued making films up until the 1990s and later worked as a novelist writing a series of murder mysteries. Nazzareno Zamperla (25 April 1937 – 19 March 2020) was an Italian actor and stuntman. Career Born in Treviso into a circus family, Zamperla came to Rome in 1949 and worked primarily in the 1950s and 1960s as a stunt performer. His focus was on the sword and sandal films. George Wang Jie (, born Wang Chun-yang , 12 November 1918 – 27 March 2015) was a Taiwanese actor and film producer. Ferdinando "Nando" Gazzolo (16 October 1928 – 16 November 2015) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Savona, the son of the actor and voice actor Lauro Gazzolo and EIAR radio announcer Aida Ottaviani Piccolo, Gazzolo debuted at young age on radio, and in 1948, at twenty years old, he started his acting career entering the stage company led by Antonio Gandusio.
