Pickering Nunataks
Pickering Nunataks () is a group of nunataks lying 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) southwest of Mount Phoebe and on the northeast side of Saturn Glacier, near the east coast of Alexander Island, Antarctica. The nunataks were photographed by Lincoln Ellsworth on November 23, 1935, in the course of a trans-Antarctic flight and were plotted from the air photos by W.L.G. Joerg. Named by United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) from association with Saturn Glacier after William Henry Pickering, William H. Pickering Passage
Pickering Passage is a strait, in the southern end of part of Puget Sound in the U.S. state of Washington. Entirely within Mason County, the Pickering Passage separates Hartstine Island from the mainland, and connects Totten Inlet with the north end of Case Inlet. Pickering Passage flows past the mouths of Hammersley Inlet, Totten Inlet, and Eld Inlet. It is a nutrient rich area, producing oysters that grow very quickly. The Pickering Panthers are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Pickering, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of North Division of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Pickering Football Club, commonly known as Pickering FC, is a Canadian semi-professional association football, soccer club based in Pickering, Ontario that plays in League1 Ontario. The club was founded in 1984 as a youth soccer club and added its semi-professional club in League1 Ontario in 2014. The team plays home games at Kinsmen Park.
