People's Television (Montserrat)
People's Television (PTV) is a terrestrial television channel in the British overseas territory of Montserrat. History and programming It started broadcasting in 1991 and produces a variety of local content, from programmes (including news bulletins) to commercials. It was not the first television station in Montserrat, as beginning in 1965 ZAL-TV (now ABS) installed a relay station on the island and in the 1980s, there was a station called Antilles TV. In the 2010s, it was linked to the British RAFFA association. People's Television Network (; abbreviated PTV) is the flagship State broadcasting, state broadcaster owned by the Government of the Philippines. Founded in 1974, PTV is the main brand of People's Television Network, Inc. (PTNI), one of the attached agencies under the Presidential Communications Group#Presidential Communications Office, Presidential Communications Office (PCO). PTV, along with government-owned media companies Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation and the Presidential Broadcast Service-Bureau of Broadcast Services, formed the media arm of the PCO and acts as a primary state television broadcaster that focuses on news, information and public service programming. Brades
Brades (; also Brades Estate) is a town and the '' de facto'' capital of Montserrat since 1998 with an approximate population of 1,000. History The still ''de jure'' capital of Montserrat at Plymouth in the south of the island was abandoned in 1997 after it was buried by the eruptions of the Soufrière Hills volcano which began erupting in 1995. Interim government buildings have since been built at Brades, becoming the new temporary capital in 1998. The move is intended to be temporary, but it has remained the island's ''de facto'' capital ever since. Several names have been suggested for the new official capital now being constructed in the Little Bay area. Montserrat ( , ) is a British Overseas Territories, British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. It is part of the Leeward Islands, the northern portion of the Lesser Antilles chain of the West Indies. Montserrat is about long and wide, with roughly of coastline. Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court
The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) is a superior court of record for the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), including six independent states: Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and three British Overseas Territories (Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, and Montserrat). The Antigua Broadcasting Service (ABS) is the state-controlled broadcaster of Antigua and Barbuda.
