Volksbank Group
The Volksbank Group (, ) is a cooperative banking group in Austria, whose central entity is the Vienna-based Volksbank Wien AG. It includes seven other regional banks as well as a specialized bank for the health professions in Austria. The group has been designated as a Significant Institution since its entry into force of European Banking Supervision in late 2014, and as a consequence is directly supervised by the European Central Bank. Overview There were 35 local Volksbanks in Austria by end of 2015, each of them organized as a cooperative or a corporation. By 2017 they merged to 8 regional banks and 2 specialized banks. They form an integrated system of banks (Association of Volksbanks) connected through a contract of collaboration. People's National Bank Building is a high-rise building in Courthouse Square, Tyler, Texas, at 102 N. College Street. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Art Deco building was designed by noted Texas architect Alfred C. Finn, who touted an extensive portfolio of steel-framed skyscrapers when the People's National Bank Building was completed in 1932. Since 2014 it has been known as the People's Petroleum Building. History Local attorney and judge Samuel A. Lindsey commissioned the People's National Bank Building in 1932, amidst the Great Depression. Lindsey was also a local real estate investor and chairman of the bank. People's National Bank Building, also known as Franklin's Clothing Store, is a historic bank building located at Rock Hill, South Carolina. It was built about 1909–1910, and is a four-story brick building, plus basement. It was the first building in the city constructed as a speculative office building, the first with a passenger elevator, and the tallest commercial building in Rock Hill. It existed from 1990, when Peoples Bancorp and Planters Bank merged, to 2001, when the Royal Bank of Canada acquired the company and changed its name to RBC Centura. The People's Bank and Trust Company Building is an Art Deco skyscraper built in 1931 and located at 663 Main Avenue in the city of Passaic in Passaic County, New Jersey. The tall building is the highest in the city. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 19, 2018, for its significance in architecture. Peoples National Bank (Pella, Iowa)
Peoples National Bank is a historic building located in Pella, Iowa, United States. It is significant for its association with Herman Rietveld, a local booster and civic leader during the Progressive Era. Completed in 1905, the building was designed for Rietveld's progressive ideas that called for dense occupancy which lead to efficiency and lowered the building's costs. When it opened the building housed two banks, two newspaper offices, a printing plant, and space for other offices on the second floor. Rietveld, along with John Rhynsberger and B. H. Van Spanckeren, founded the banks at the time the building was completed. They failed ten years later because of bad business decisions. The People's State Bank building is located in the Stephenson County village of Orangeville, Illinois, United States. The structure was erected in 1926 when two Orangeville banks merged to form the People's State Bank. It operated until 1932 when it became overwhelmed by an economic disaster caused by the Great Depression and the bypassing of downtown Orangeville by an important route. The building is cast in the Commercial style and features Classical Revival detailing, common for banks of the time period.
