Pekka Puupää Kesälaitumilla
Pekka Puupää on Summer Pastures () is the second film in the ''Pekka Puupää'' series. Directed by Armand Lohikoski and written by Reino Helismaa, it premiered in 1953. The film has also been adapted into several stage plays. Plot Justiina sends Pekka and Pätkä to rent a summer villa. A deceitful real estate agent, Adolf Muikku, tricks them by showing a photograph with a luxurious mansion next to a shabby cottage. Believing they have acquired the mansion, Pekka and Pätkä plan to open a boarding house named Puunpätkä. They are joined by Kalevi Vaski, a relative of Pätkä, whom they meet on the street. The duo moves into the villa (entering through the chimney as the key doesn't fit the door), opens their boarding house, and welcomes distinguished guests from Helsinki. Meanwhile, Pätkä and Kalevi encounter a girl, Eeva, whose car has broken down. Kalevi and Eeva bond as Pätkä attempts to fix the car, only to discover it's out of gas. Armand Lohikoski
Armand Uolevi Lohikoski (January 3, 1912 – March 20, 2005) was a Finnish movie director and writer. He is best known as a director of a number of '' Pekka ja Pätkä'' movies. Career Before his career as a film director Armand Lohikoski had a long career in the media industry. He was, among other occupations, a journalist, a division director in the Finnish Broadcasting Company (where he produced the first radio quiz in Finland), and a head of the Helsinki office of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Films. He was also the first to publish free newspapers in Finland. Armand Lohikoski directed 18 long movies for the major Finnish movie production company Suomen Filmiteollisuus. In addition, he directed many short films and commercials. Both before and during his directing career, he took part in acting. He acted in some of his own films. Kaj Tapio Rautavaara (8 March 1915 – 25 September 1979) was a Finnish singer (bass-baritone), athlete and film actor. Life Early years Tapio Rautavaara was born in the municipality of Pirkkala (now Nokia, Finland, Nokia), a suburb of the industrial city of Tampere, as the son of Henrik Kerttula and Hilda Rautavaara. Just three weeks later, his mother moved to the Helsinki suburb of Oulunkylä, where she had lived before. Rautavaara's father was rarely at home, and soon left the family permanently. In 1921, Tapio and his mother moved to Tampere. Rautavaara used to have conflicts with his conservative teachers due to his working-class background.
