Paulo César da Silva Argolo (; born 27 March 1986), commonly known as Paulo César, is a former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Born in Brazil, he played for the Hong Kong national team. Club career In July 2016, Paulo joined Tai Po. In August 2018, Paulo joined Kitchee. On 10 May 2021, Paulo finally earned his first start for Kitchee in which he made his first appearance against Southern in the HKPL. Paulo became the first-choice goalkeeper in Kitchee’s ACL group stage due to the absence of Wang Zhenpeng. On 24 June 2021, he played his first ACL match, beating Thai Port 2–0. International career On 10 May 2021, Paulo officially announced that he had received a Hong Kong passport, making him eligible to represent Hong Kong internationally. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D), commonly known as the Série D or the Brazilian Série D to distinguish it from the Italian Serie D, is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on 9 April 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
In 2009, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, the fourth division of the Brazilian Football, is currently being contested for first time in history. The competition has 40 clubs, four of which will eventually qualify to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C to be contested in 2010. Competition format The 40 teams are divided in ten groups of 4, playing within them in a double round-robin format. The two best ranked in each group at the end of 6 rounds will qualify to the Second Stage, which will be played in home-and-away system.
