Paul S. Williams (May 19, 1948 – March 27, 2013) was an American music journalist, writer, and publisher who created ''Crawdaddy!'', the first national US magazine of rock music music journalism, criticism, in January 1966. He was a leading authority on the works of musicians Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, and Neil Young, and science fiction writers Theodore Sturgeon and Philip K. Dick, for whose literary estate he served as executor. Williams was also the founder of the Philip K. Dick Society, which helped to publish Dick's work and establish his legacy. Career While briefly enrolled at Swarthmore College, Williams created '':Crawdaddy!'', the first national US magazine of rock music music journalism, criticism, in January 1966 with the help of some of his fellow science fiction fandom, science fiction fans (he had previously produced science fiction fanzines). Paul Hamilton Williams Jr. (born September 19, 1940) is an American composer, singer, songwriter, and actor. He is known for writing and co-writing popular songs performed by a number of acts in the 1970s, including Three Dog Night's " An Old Fashioned Love Song" and " Out in the Country", Helen Reddy's " You and Me Against the World", Biff Rose's "Fill Your Heart", and the Carpenters' " We've Only Just Begun" and " Rainy Days and Mondays". He also wrote " Cried Like a Baby" for teen idol Bobby Sherman. Paul Williams (born 3 April 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). Paul Darren Williams (born 26 March 1971) is an English professional football coach and former player who was until August 2022 academy director at Birmingham City. As a player, he was a centre back and midfielder from 1989 until 2005, playing domestically for Derby County, Lincoln City, Coventry City, Southampton and Stoke City and in the USL A-League for Richmond Kickers. Upon his retirement he moved into coaching, working in the academies at Southampton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City, Birmingham City and with the England youth teams. Paul Anthony Williams (born 16 August 1965) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who played as a striker. As a player he made 300 appearances in the Premier League for Crystal Palace as well as in the Football League for Charlton Athletic, Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland, Birmingham City, Torquay United and Southend United.
