Partido Alianza Por Yucatán
The Party Alliance for Yucatán (Spanish: Alianza Partido por Yucatán, PAY) was a political party in the Mexican state of Yucatán. It was formed in the early 21st century with the aim of representing the interests of the people of Yucatán at the local and national levels. The party was led by Xavier Abreu Sierra, who on multiple occasions sought the self-determination of the Yucatan peninsula including autonomy up until the right of independence. Xavier later ran for the National Action Party's nomination for the position of governor of Yucatán. Regionalism is a political ideology that seeks to increase the political power, influence and self-determination of the people of one or more subnational regions. It focuses on the "development of a political or social system based on one or more" regions, and/or the national, normative, or economic interests of a specific region, group of regions or another subnational entity, gaining strength from or aiming to strengthen the "consciousness of and loyalty to a distinct region with a homogeneous population", similarly to nationalism. Yucatán

Xavier Abreu Sierra
Xavier Antonio Abreu Sierra (born February 11, 1950, in Mérida, Yucatán) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Action Party (PAN). Political career Abreu has been an active PAN member since 1981. From 1985 to 1988 he was member of the Chamber of Deputies. From 1998 to 2001 he served as municipal president of Mérida. Abreu served in the cabinet of Governor Patricio Patrón Laviada as Secretary of Social Development. In December 2006, Abreu contested for the PAN nomination for Governor of Yucatán; he won the PAN primaries defeating Ana Rosa Payán and Luis Correa Mena. Ivonne Ortega Pacheco
Ivonne Aracelly Ortega Pacheco (born November 26, 1972) is a Mexican politician from Yucatán and a current member of the Chamber of Deputies. She served as Yucatán's first elected female governor, making her the sixth woman to govern a Mexican state. Starting her political career in the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), she was elected as the mayor of her birthplace, Dzemul, Yucatán, in 1998. She was elected to the Congress of Yucatán in 2001, Chamber of Deputies in 2003, the Senate in 2006, and as governor of Yucatán in 2007. After her term as governor, she served as secretary-general of the PRI from 2012 to 2015. She was elected again to the Chamber of Deputies in 2015 before running unsuccessfully for the PRI's presidency in 2019.
