Parizaad
''Parizaad'' () is a Pakistani television series written by Hashim Nadeem, based on his Parizaad (novel), novel of the same name, directed by Shahzad Kashmiri and produced by Momina Duraid Productions. It first started airing on Hum TV, Hum Television on 20 July 2021. The series stars Ahmed Ali Akbar in the title role alongside Yumna Zaidi, Ushna Shah, Nauman Ijaz, Mashal Khan (actress), Mashal Khan, Urwa Hocane and Saboor Aly in prominent roles. The last episode was aired in cinemas on 28 January 2022 and in television on 1 February 2022. A second season of the series is in development. The series received critical acclaim with praise towards the script, direction, tackling the societal issues and Akbar's performance, who later won Hum Award for Best Actor, Best Actor and Hum Award for Best Actor Popular, Best Actor Popular awards at 8th Hum Awards and Best TV Actor-Critics' choice at 21st Lux Style Awards. 8th Hum Awards
The 8th Hum Awards by Hum Network celebrated the excellence in music, fashion, and Hum Television Dramas in 2021. The ceremony took place on 24 September 2022 at FirstOntario Centre, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and was later televised on Hum TV. During the ceremony, Hum Awards were handed out in 21 categories. A portion of the revenue of tickets of the awards was donated to the victims of 2022 Pakistan floods. Ahmed Ali Akbar
Ahmed Ali Akbar () is a Pakistani actor who primarily works in Urdu television. He marked his television debut at the age of thirteen in PTV's drama ''Stop Watch''. He guest-starred in the 2013 drama film '' Siyaah'' and started his professional acting career in 2014, since then he has appeared in several television series. Akbar is best known for playing the titular character Parizaad in Hum TV's biggest hit ''Parizaad'' in 2021 for which he won several awards including Hum Awards for Best Actor - Popular. Hashim Nadeem
Hashim Nadeem () is an Urdu language, Urdu novelist, poet and screenwriter from Pakistan. Through his scripts of television serials, he established himself among the well-known writers of the industry. Beginning his screenwriting career in the late 2010s, Nadeem is also the recipient of Lux Style Award and President's Pride of Performance. Work Nadeem's popular novels include ''Bachpan Ka December'', ''Abdullah'' and ''Khuda Aur Muhabbat''. Adeel Afzal (born 10 August 1983) is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter, storyteller and journalist. Afzal used to make videos on social media and made his acting debut in 2018. ''Parizaad'' () is an Urdu-language novel by Pakistani author Hashim Nadeem. The novel revolves around the titular protagonist who is always mocked due to his personality and name. Whereas the story bears similarities with Bollywood movie Mera Naam Joker, where protagonist suffers the same fate of losing his love and grief over his poverty and profession.
