Paris is a town in Grant County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 754 at the 2000 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.5 square miles (92.0 km), of which, 35.1 square miles (91.0 km) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.1 km) of it (1.15%) is water. Demographics At the 2000 census there were 754 people, 264 households, and 210 families living in the town. The population density was 21.5 people per square mile (8.3/km). There were 278 housing units at an average density of 7.9 per square mile (3.1/km). The racial makeup of the town was 99.73% White, 0.13% African American and 0.13% Asian. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.27%. Paris is a town in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,397 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated communities of Chapin and Paris are located within the town. History Seth B. Myrick was the first settler in Paris, arriving from Paris, New York, on July 10, 1837. Later arrivals allowed Myrick the privilege of naming the community, and he chose the name of his original home community. On his monument stone is inscribed: "He was the first settler in this town and named it Paris." St. John the Baptist Catholic Church celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2009.
