Pappy's is a British three-man comedy act, composed of comedians Ben Clark, Matthew Crosby and Tom Parry. The sketch troupe previously performed shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, but now mostly talk on podcasts about balconies and spaghetti. They regularly produce podcasts under the ''Pappy's Flatshare'' heading, and created and starred in the BBC Three sitcom ''Badults''. History Pappy's started out as a four-man comedy collective called "Pappy's Fun Club", consisting of Ben Clark, Matthew Crosby, Brendan Dodds, and Tom Parry. The group met at the University of Kent and started out performing in Canterbury and Wolverhampton. They later moved to London and in 2004, began performing regular shows in The Old Coffee House, in Soho, London. Matthew Crosby
Matthew Crosby (born 12 February 1980) is an English comedian and writer. Early life Matthew Crosby was born in Bromley. He attended St Olave's Grammar School., and went on to study English and American Literature with Film Studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury, where he met Tom Parry and Brendan Dodds. Matthew Crosby is little know for being the shortest man on radio x, half an inch higher than a borrower Biography Crosby was originally a teacher but left the profession to try comedy in 2004. He has since performed stand-up and sketch comedy all over the world, and was a semi-finalist for the BBC New Act 2005. He comperes at several comedy venues including the Horsebridge Comedy Club in Whitstable. Crosby is a founding member of sketch team Pappy's, formerly known as Pappy's Fun Club. Katie Cariad Lloyd (born 21 August 1982) is a British comedian, actress, writer, and podcaster who has been performing since 2007. Jack Docherty
John Docherty (born 1962) is a Scottish writer, actor, presenter and producer. Career He first performed at the 1980 Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the comedy sketch group The Bodgers which he formed with George Watson's College schoolfriends Moray Hunter, Gordon Kennedy and Pete Baikie. ''Badults'' is a British sitcom series created and starring the members of Pappy's, along with Emer Kenny, Jack Docherty and Katherine Ryan in the lead roles. Written collectively by Pappy's, the first series piloted on 23 July 2013 on BBC Three. A second and final series was commissioned by the BBC on 23 August 2013 for broadcast in summer 2014. Plot A series following the lives of some flatmates, Matthew, Ben, Tom and Rachel, who do their best to fulfill their age old ambition of living together as adults albeit badly and earning the label 'Badults' hence.
