Pallars
Pallars is a historical region, historical and natural region of Catalonia. Located in the Pre-Pyrenees and Pyrenees area, most of its territory is mountainous. The Noguera Pallaresa river is named after this region. Geography The physiography of the Pallars natural region includes the Noguera Pallaresa river basin with its tributaries. The region encompasses as well as the mountain ranges spanning the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees area that surround the basin until the Serra del Montsec which forms the limit of the Pallars at its southern end. Tremp
Tremp () is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain, the capital of the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Jussà. It is the largest municipality in Catalonia in terms of area (), accounting for nearly a quarter of the total area of the ''comarca''. The municipality is a geographical oddity and consists of five separate territorial entities within the ''comarca'' (district) of Pallars Jussa (see image). The town of Tremp (population 5.961 as of 2023) is the second smallest of these and is situated in the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa river below Talarn and the Talarn Dam. The largest portion of the municipal territory lies to the west of the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa and stretches as far as the Noguera Ribagorçana river. Alins () is a town and municipality in Pallars Sobirà county in Catalonia. It borders Occitania in France and La Massana in Andorra. It has a population of . It covers the valleys of the and Tor rivers in the north of the county.
