Pakistan National Cricket Team
The Pakistan men's national cricket team represents Pakistan in international cricket. It is controlled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the governing body for cricket in Pakistan, which is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Pakistan compete in cricket tours and tournaments sanctioned by the PCB and other regional or international cricket bodies in Test cricket, Test, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 International (T20) formats. Pakistan were given Test status in 1952 following a recommendation from India cricket team, India, but faced limited international success until the 1980s, when they became fixtures in the latter stages of tournaments. Mohsin Khan (Pakistani Cricketer)
Mohsin Hasan Khan (Urdu: محسن حسن خان; born 15 March 1955) is a Pakistani cricket coach, former actor and former cricketer who played in 48 Test matches and 75 One Day Internationals between 1977 and 1986 mainly as an opening batsman. Early and personal life Born in Karachi to a father who was an officer in the Pakistan Navy and a United States-educated mother who was a teacher and vice-principal, Mohsin excelled at sports early on, in tennis, swimming and cricket, and even went on to become junior badminton champion of Pakistan. Mohsin married Bollywood movie star Reena Roy in 1983. He divorced Roy in the 1990s and gained custody of their daughter, Sanam. He later remarried and lost the custody of the daughter. Abdul Qadir (cricketer)
Abdul Qadir Khan SI (, 15 September 1955 – 6 September 2019) was an international cricketer who bowled leg spin for Pakistan. Abdul Qadir is widely regarded as a legendary leg spinner from the 1970s and 1980s and was a role model for up and coming leg spinners. His unique style of bowling consisted of a rhythmic cantering walk before the ball toss. Qadir was voted the best player in the Group B matches of the 1987 Cricket World Cup and won a car which he donated to Imran Khan for his Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre project. Graham Yallop
Graham Neil Yallop (born 7 October 1952) is a former Australian international cricketer. Yallop played Test and One Day International cricket for the Australia national cricket team between 1976 and 1984, captaining the side briefly during the World Series Cricket era in the late 1970s. A technically correct left-handed batsman, Yallop played domestically for Victoria, invariably batting near the top of the order and led Victoria to two Sheffield Shield titles. He was the first player to wear a full helmet in a Test match. John Maguire (cricketer)
John Norman Maguire (born 15 September 1956) is a former Australian cricketer who played in three Test matches and 23 One Day Internationals in 1983 and 1984. Career A right-arm fast-medium bower, Maguire debuted for Wynnum Manly in Queensland at 20 years and 74 days after being discovered playing Warehouse cricket. For Wynnum he played over eight seasons from 1977 to 1984, taking 96 wickets at 19.18. Maguire made his first-class cricket debut for Queensland in 1977–78 but did not hold down a regular place until 1981–82. He played his first one-day international in 1982–83, earning fame because he was called up during a Sheffield Shield game and had to be replaced by Michael Maranta. Tony Crafter
Anthony Ronald (Tony) Crafter, (born 5 December 1940 in Mount Barker, South Australia), is a former Australian Test cricket match umpire. He umpired 33 Test matches between 1979 and 1992, the highest number by an Australian umpire to that time. (The previous highest was Bob Crockett’s 32 matches.) His international umpiring debut was a Test match between Australia and England at Sydney in February 1979, which England won by 9 wickets, thus retaining The Ashes. Australian captain Graham Yallop scored 121 of the first innings total of 198, but the rest of the batting in both innings failed against Ian Botham, John Emburey and Geoff Miller. Kimberley John Hughes (born 26 January 1954) is a former cricketer who played for Western Australia, Natal and Australia. He captained Australia in 28 Test matches between 1979 and 1984 before captaining a rebel Australian team in a tour of South Africa, a country which at the time was subject to a sporting boycott opposing apartheid. Richard Allan French (born 7 August 1938 in Sydney) is an Australian Test cricket umpire. He umpired in 19 Test matches between 1977 and 1987. His first match was between Australia and India at Perth on 16 December to 21 December 1977, won by Australia by 2 wickets with Tony Mann becoming the first Australian night-watchman to score a century, and the 41-year-old Bob Simpson scoring his 1st century for 10 years, having come out of retirement to lead an Australian team depleted by defections to World Series Cricket.
