Patrick O'Rourke (1 January 1934 17 January 2011) was an Irish people, Irish professional footballer who played as an Forward (association football), forward in the League of Ireland, most notably for St Patrick's Athletic F.C., St Patrick's Athletic. O'Rourke was brought up in the Inchicore neighbourhood of west Dublin and played youth football for local side Bulfin United. In 1953 he signed for League of Ireland outfit St Patrick's Athletic F.C., St Patrick's Athletic, also located in the Inchicore area. With the Saints, O'Rourke would win two league championships and two FAI Cups. The 1955–56 League of Ireland, 1955-56 League season would see O'Rourke and strike partner Shay Gibbons net a combined haul of 38 goals for the Saints. Paddy O'Rourke (born 1960 in Burren, County Down) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. He played football with his local club Burren and was a member of the Down senior inter-county team from the 1970s until the 1990s. O'Rourke captained Down to the All-Ireland title in 1991. Paddy O'Rourke (born 10 May 1989) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for his club Skryne and, formerly, the Meath county team. O'Rourke is the nephew of former Skryne and Meath player Colm and first cousin of former Meath player Shane. Playing career Club He played for the Skryne juvenile team at a young age and eventually became the Skryne senior team's first choice goalkeeper, aged 16. He subsequently moved outfield to a forward position. O'Rourke was top scorer on the 2010 SFC Skryne winning team. An outfield player at club level, O'Rourke has also played club football in Australia. Inter-county O'Rourke played for the Meath U21 football team up until 2010. He made his debut for the Meath senior team starting as a goalkeeper in a Leinster Quarter-finals game against Dublin on 7 June 2009. Patrick Jake O'Rourke (November 14, 1947 – February 15, 2022) was an American author, journalist, and political satirist who wrote twenty-two books on subjects as diverse as politics, cars, etiquette, and economics.
