PBA's 25th Anniversary All-Time Team
The 50 Greatest Players in PBA History is a list of players chosen across three separate occasions in 2000, 2015, and 2025 to honor the 25th, 40th, and 50th anniversaries of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), respectively, with the list expanding for each milestone. The first set, known as the 25 Greatest Players, was awarded when the league celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2000. During its silver anniversary, a TV special was held at the Araneta Coliseum on April 9. In 2015, 15 players were added to the list to commemorate the league's 40th anniversary. The awarding was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila on April 8. The award was rechristened as FAB @ 40 (40th Greatest Players). In 2025, the league added an additional 10 players to the list for the 50th anniversary, with the list renamed as the 50 Greatest Players. San Miguel Beermen
The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 29 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. In addition, it has won the Grand Slam in and the Perpetual Jun Bernardino Trophy after winning three straight PBA Philippine Cups from 2015 to 2017. Lyceum of the Philippines University (), also referred to by its acronym LPU, is a private, non-sectarian, coeducational higher education institution located at Intramuros in the City of Manila, Philippines. The 1976 PBA season was the second season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Shell Turbo Chargers
The Shell Turbo Chargers were a Philippine Basketball Association team from 1985 to 2005. It won four PBA championships, two from 1998 to 1999. Great Taste Coffee Makers
The Great Taste Coffee Makers were a basketball team that played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1975 to 1992. It was one of the founding members of the PBA, the Asia's first and oldest professional league. The franchise was owned by CFC Corporation (now merged with Universal Robina Corporation) and named after its brand of instant coffee, Great Taste Coffee. The franchise also played under other CFC brands such as N-Rich, Presto and Tivoli. The franchise won six PBA championships, mostly under coach Baby Dalupan. U/Tex Wranglers
The U/Tex Wranglers were a professional basketball team and one of the pioneers of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) in its maiden season in 1975. History Universal Textile Mills, Inc., a company owned by Patricio Luis "P. L." Lim and Walter Euyang, formed the U-Tex Spinners in 1960, playing in the Businessman Athletic Association (BAA), a minor league. It transferred to the MICAA in 1961. By the 1970s, the team was competing in the MICAA as the U/Tex Weavers. They were bannered by the likes of Lawrence "Larry" Mumar, Danny Basilan and Lucio Lim. Crispa Redmanizers
The Crispa Redmanizers were a multi-titled Filipino basketball team that played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1975 to 1984. It was one of the nine founding teams of the PBA, winning a total of thirteen PBA championships, including two grand slams. Founded in 1956 by businessman Valeriano "Danny" Floro, the team was owned by P. Floro and Sons, Inc. (defunct). Profile and history Named after the retail store and textile manufacturing company owned by the Floro family, the Redmanizers were managed by sportsman Danny Floro and coached for many years by the legendary Virgilio "Baby" Dalupan.
