Oregon–Oregon State Rivalry
The Oregon–Oregon State rivalry (otherwise known as the Civil War) is a college rivalry between the University of Oregon and Oregon State University. The rivalry is one of the oldest in the nation, dating back to 1894 when the two universities' football teams first met. Although the college football game is the most popular rivalry, the two universities have noted rivalry games in every sport that both sponsor. There is also an academic rivalry between the schools on occasion, and competitions for community services such as blood drives take place often. Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Oregon, located in Eugene. The Ducks compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Pac-12 Conference. With eighteen varsity teams, Oregon is best known for its American football team and track and field program, which has helped Eugene gain a reputation as "Track Town, USA". PacificSource Civil War Series
The PacificSource Civil War Series is a college sports series between the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers. The schools started to officially keep track of the overall series at the start of the 1999–2000 school year with the introduction of the Northwest Dodge Dealers Civil War Series. To determine the overall winner, points are awarded to schools depending on the outcomes of Civil War games in various sports. PacificSource will sponsor the series through 2015. The 2006 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was held from June 2 through June 26, . Sixty-four NCAA Division I college baseball teams met after having played their way through a regular season, and for some, a conference tournament, to play in the NCAA tournament. The tournament culminated with 8 teams in the College World Series at historic Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska. The 2005 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was held from May 30 through June 26, . Sixty-four NCAA Division I college baseball teams met after having played their way through a regular season, and for some, a conference tournament, to play in the NCAA tournament. The Oregon-Oregon State Football Game (Civil War) is an American college football rivalry game played annually in the state of Oregon between the Ducks of the University of Oregon in Eugene and the Beavers of Oregon State University in Corvallis. First played in 1894, it is the fifth- most played college football rivalry game in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
