Order Of The Leopard (Kazakhstan)
Order of the Leopard () is an order of the Republic of Kazakhstan, established by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 26, 1999 No. 462-1. Regulation on the Order This order is awarded for special merits: *in strengthening the statehood and sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan; *in ensuring peace, consolidation of society and unity of the people of Kazakhstan; *in state, industrial, scientific, socio-cultural and social activities; *in strengthening cooperation between peoples, rapprochement and mutual enrichment of national cultures, friendly relations between states. Classes The Order of Barys has three classes: Order "Barys" I class consists of a star and a badge on the shoulder ribbon – 100 mm wide. Order "Barys" II class consists of a sign on the chest block ribbon – 32 mm wide. Order "Barys" III class consists of a badge on the neck ribbon – 20 mm wide. The Order of the First President of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev (, ), also referred to simply as the Order of Nazarbayev, is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was established on 1 January 2001 in honor of President Nursultan Nazarbayev who was at the time, the first and only President of Kazakhstan. It is awarded to Kazakh and foreign citizens for contributions to the development and prosperity of the country. This includes any of the following actions: * Participation in social activities * Achievements in sport and other competition on behalf of Kazakhstan * Contributions to the development of a strong economy * Distinguished service in national law enforcement and military bodies The order changed its design four times since its inception, from the sign on the cervical tape to the mark on the shoulder ribbon with the star. The Order of Glory (, trans. ''Order of Dank'') is an order of the Republic of Kazakhstan introduced in 1993. Order of Dank is conferred upon top-ranking officers of the armed forces, other military formations and units, as well as management staff of the prosecution, national security, and internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other countries: * for achievements in leadership and command and control, high combat readiness of the troops and maintaining the country's defense capabilities; * or for excellent organization of military, frontier and interior service, guaranteeing national security, enforcement of law and public order. History Single-class Order of Dank was established with Law No. 2069-XII On State Awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan dd. April 1, 1993. It was reserved for law enforcement officers.
