The Most Distinguished Order of Paduka Seri Laila Jasa (), also translated as The Most Distinguished Order of Merit of Brunei, is an order of Brunei. It was established in February 1964 by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III. Current classes The three classes of appointment to the Order are, from highest grade to lowest grade: Description The first class included 14 medallions measuring in silver, gold, and enamel, along with the badge appendant, measuring in silver, gold, and enamel; the star, measuring in silver, gold, and enamel, with a gold retaining pin and the maker's cartouche on the reverse, and presented in a fitted leather case with a miniature award. The pre-1984 first class consisted of a badge and star with two lions on them. The second class adopted the Bruneian crown in place of lions when Brunei gained official independence from Britain in 1984. Pengiran Anak Kemaluddin Al-Haj
Pengiran Anak Kemaluddin (8 March 1929 – 9 January 2012) was a Bruneian noble civil servant. He served as Brunei's state religious affairs officer from 1962 to 1970 before becoming the speaker of the Legislative Council of Brunei (LegCo) from 1981 to 1984 and 2004 to 2011. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Privy Council. Additionally, he was the father-in-law of Princess Rashidah, daughter of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. Marianne Elisabeth Lloyd-Dolbey (18 October 1919, in Drešinja Vas, Kingdom of Yugoslavia – 10 October 1994, in Celje, Slovenia) was a personal secretary to Sultan of Brunei Omar Ali Saifuddien III. Biography Early life and education Marianne was born in 1919 as Marjana Elizabeta Kopše, to father Franc and mother Marjana (born Vrabič) in Drešinja Vas, Kingdom of Yugoslavia (now Slovenia). Marjana was the first of her parents eleven children. Her family house still stands at the old main road between Drešinja Vas and Levec. After finishing primary school in Petrovče she enrolled at the Celje First Grammar School where she obtained her secondary school certificate in 1938. Muhammad Ghazali bin Shafie (; 22 March 1922 – 24 January 2010) was a Malaysian politician and diplomat.
