Order of Military Merits ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=/, Orden za vojne zasluge, Орден за војне заслуге, , ) was a state decoration awarded in Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia, divided into three classes. It was awarded to commanders of units and civilians serving in the Yugoslav People's Army, as well as individuals in Confederation of Trade Unions of Yugoslavia, trade unions or other organizations with outstanding contributions and accomplishment of tasks of special immediate importance for national defense. History The order was established by the Presidium of the National Assembly of Yugoslavia on 29 December 1951 together with the Medal for Military Merit (Yugoslavia), Medal for Military Merits and awarded until the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992. The Parliament of Yugoslavia was the legislature of Yugoslavia. The ''General Encyclopedia of the Yugoslav Lexicographical Institute'' () is a general encyclopedia published in eight volumes by the Yugoslav Lexicographical Institute in Zagreb between 1977 and 1982.
