Operation Shield '94
Operation Shield 94 (Serbian Cyrillic: Operajica Štit 94, Операција Штит 94) refers to the offensive in Western Bosnia from the 4 November to 20 November 1994, the key goal was to fully destroy the 5th Corps, and to recapture lands lost during Operation Grmeć 94. It resulted in a decisive Serbian victory. Background In October 1994, the 5th Corps of the ARBiH, led by Atif Dudaković, launched a major offensive operation called "Grmeč 94". The objective of the operation was to capture the Grmeč plateau. The ARBiH forces, consisting of approximately 13,000 soldiers, advanced from the northern parts of the enclave, aiming to capture several key villages and the former base of the JNA in Grmeč. The Bosnian War ( / Рат у Босни и Херцеговини) was an international armed conflict that took place in Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995. Vukovi (stylised as VUKOVI) is a Scottish rock band from Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland. The band released their self-titled debut album ''Vukovi'' on 10 Mar 2017. The Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia (), was a small unrecognized proto-state that existed in the northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1993 and 1995. The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet (, ), also known as the Serbian script, (, ), is a standardized variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language. The Croatian Defence Council (, HVO) was the armed wing of the self-proclaimed Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, a breakaway entity unrecognised by the international community and accused of ethnic-based violence during the conflict. It existed in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1991 and 1996. The HVO was the main military force of the Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 505th Knightly Motorised Brigade (''505. Bužimska brigada'') was part of the 5th Corps of the Bosnian Army under the command of Brigadier General Izet Nanić. The 505th Knightly Motorized brigade was honored by the late president of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović, as the most elite brigade during the Bosnian War. 5th Corps (Army Of The Republic Of Bosnia And Herzegovina)
The 5th Corps was one of seven corps and smallest one of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The formation was around the Bihać pocket to protect it against the surrounding Serb forces. The Fifth Corps also fought secessional Bosniak forces loyal to Fikret Abdić, who was cooperating with Serb forces. Just days before the last 5th Corps military operation, Operation Sana, 5th Corps defeated Abdić's army and supporters, bringing the rogue autonomous province under government's control in the Downfall of Second autonomy operation.
