''Operación Triunfo'' was the Mexican version of the Spanish TV series ''Operación Triunfo'' based on the international franchise ''Star Academy''. Season 1 (2002) Only one sole edition was broadcast in Mexico in 2002, on the Mexican TV station Televisa. The sole season was hosted by Jaime Camil and the winner of the reality contest was Darina Márquez, becoming the first winner ever of a reality musical competition in Latin American history. () is a reality television talent show which first aired on (TVE) in 2001 in Spain. A music talent contest with viewer voting and reality show elements that originated Endemol's '' Star Academy'' franchise, the show aims to find the country's next solo singing sensation. On its first run between 2001 and 2004, three series were aired on TVE, which also served as the national final to select the for the Eurovision Song Contest. ''Star Academy'' is a Dutch-developed reality television talent show format that first aired in the Netherlands as '':nl:Starmaker (televisieprogramma), Star Maker''. Format There are many versions of the show, each country having its own slight variations, but the basic concept remains the same: contestants live in a boarding-school called "The Academy", managed by a director, and various teachers coach them in several artistic disciplines. Voice projection is the strength of speaking or singing whereby the human voice is used powerfully and clearly. It is a technique employed to command respect and attention, such as when a teacher talks to a class, or simply to be heard clearly, as used by an actor in a theatre or during drill.
