Demofilo Fidani
Demofilo Fidani (born 8 February 1914 on a steamship bound for Cagliari; died 4 April 1994) was an Italian film director (24 films), set designer (more than 200 films), painter, and a regarded medium and author. As director, Fidani specialized in spaghetti westerns and used many different pseudonyms including Miles Deem, Lucky Dickinson, Alex Demos, and Danilo Dani. Many of his films were westerns, in which he used the names of well-known characters such as Butch Cassidy, Macho Callahan, Django and Sartana, as well as titles that were variations of popular titles. Besides his westerns, he directed crime films, sex comedies, and, in 1972, a giallo called '' A.A.A. Masseuse, Good-Looking, Offers Her Services.'' Films, particularly those of the influential Dollars trilogy, spawned numerous films of the same ilk and often with similar titles, particularly from the mid to late 1960s and early 1970s. By the end of the 1970s, spaghetti Westerns had lost their following among mainstream cinema audiences and the production had ground to a virtual halt. Jack Betts, also credited as Hunt Powers, is an American character actor. He has acted in film, on stage, and on television. He starred in several Spaghetti western films such as ''Sugar Colt''. Career Betts was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. When he was 10 years old, he and his family moved to Miami, Florida. He auditioned for a talent contest on WIOD. He graduated from Miami Senior High School and attended the University of Miami in which he studied theater. Betts started his career in 1953 in the play ''Richard III''. He portrayed Chris Devlin in the CBS mystery series ''Checkmate'' (1960–1962). From 1963 to 1965, he portrayed Dr. Ken Martin in ''General Hospital''. He also played Mr. Fisher, an 80-year-old man on ''One Life to Live'' in 1982. Pasquale Squitieri (27 November 1938 – 18 February 2017) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Naples, Squitieri graduated in law, then was briefly involved in stage, as author ("''La battaglia''") and even actor (directed by Francesco Rosi). He made his film debut with '' Io e Dio'', produced by Vittorio De Sica, and, after two Spaghetti Westerns he signed as William Redford, he focused on drama films centered on political and social issues.
