Omaha Public Schools (OPS) is the largest school district in the state of Nebraska, United States. This public school district serves a diverse community of about 52,000 students at over 80 elementary and secondary schools in Omaha. Its district offices are located in the former Tech High at 30th and Cuming Streets. Within Douglas County the district includes much of Omaha. The district extends into parts of Sarpy County, where it includes portions of Bellevue. Omaha Central High School
Omaha Central High School, originally known as Omaha High School, is a fully accredited public high school located in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, United States. It is one of many public high schools located in Omaha. As of the 2023–2024 academic year, Omaha Central had an enrollment of 2,674 students. The current building, located in Downtown Omaha, was designed by John Latenser, Sr. and was built between 1900 and 1912. It is the oldest active high school building in the city. Omaha Burke High School
Harry A. Burke High School is a secondary school located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The principal is Darren Rasmussen. The school's mascot is the Bulldog. Each year in May, the Nebraska State Track Meet is held at the school. Its stadium was renovated in 2008. The school property abuts the eastbound lanes of West Dodge Road (US 6). Omaha Bryan High School
Omaha Bryan High School is a public high school located in Bellevue, Nebraska, United States. It is a part of Omaha Public Schools. History Omaha Public Schools built Bryan Senior High as part of the school complex to meet increasing enrollments. The current building for William Jennings Bryan Senior High School was completed in 1971. The school was named after the Nebraska politician. The school's backstory dates to 1964, when the first students entered what is now the Bryan Middle School building, which was originally designed as a junior-senior high complex. From there, the first senior class graduated in 1968. In 1993, the school celebrated its 25th anniversary by burying a time capsule intended for opening 25 years later; it was opened in April 2022. Omaha Benson High School Magnet, Benson High Magnet, or Benson High, is a public high school in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, in the Benson neighborhood. The original site of Benson High was the current building that houses Benson West Elementary School. Founded in 1904, Benson High is one of the oldest high schools in the state. South Omaha is a former city and current district of Omaha, Nebraska, United States. During its initial development phase, the town's nickname was "The Magic City" because of the seemingly overnight growth due to the rapid development of the Union Stockyards.
