Ohio Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in women's basketball for the Ohio Valley Conference. It is a single-elimination tournament involving 8 of the 11 league schools, and seeding is based on regular-season records with head-to-head matchup as a tiebreaker. The winner normally receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, NCAA women's basketball tournament. An exception was in 2024 Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball tournament, 2024, when Southern Indiana swept the conference's regular-season and tournament titles but was not eligible for the NCAA tournament because of its ongoing transition from NCAA Division II. Eastern Kentucky Colonels Women's Basketball
The Eastern Kentucky Colonels women's basketball team is a women's college basketball team at Eastern Kentucky University, located in Richmond, Kentucky. After having played women's basketball in the Ohio Valley Conference since it began sponsoring women's sports in 1977, EKU joined the Atlantic Sun Conference in July 2021. The 2024–25 season will mark EKU's fourth season as a member institution in the ASUN Conference. Home games are played at Baptist Health Arena, seating 6,500 fans for basketball contests. The Eastern Illinois Panthers women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks women's basketball team, also formerly known as the Southeast Missouri State Otahkians, represents Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The school's team currently competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. History Southeast Missouri State began play in 1975, with Division I play beginning in 1991. They finished as runner up to North Dakota State in the 1991 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament, losing 81–74. The Redhawks have an all-time record of 586–522 and a Division I record of 310–262 as of the end of 2015–16 season. They have been to the NCAA Tournament twice and the WNIT once. Kentucky International Convention Center
The Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC), formerly called the Commonwealth Convention Center, is a large multi-use facility in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The KICC, along with the Kentucky Exposition Center, hosts conventions for the Louisville area. It was built on the site of the Tyler Block and opened in 1977. The facility underwent a major renovation from 2016 to 2018, seeking more space and a more inviting presence. While the convention center does not have a permanent arena, it has hosted various sporting events, including the 2002 Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball tournament and the NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament from 1995 to 2000. The UT Martin Skyhawks women's basketball team is the team that represents the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tennessee, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Ohio Valley Conference. History Since beginning play in 1969, the Skyhawks have an all-time record of 578–687, per the end of the 2015–16 season.
