John McComb (ice Hockey)
John McComb Jr. (1763–1853) was an American architect who designed many landmarks in the 18th and 19th centuries. Between 1790 and 1825, McComb was New York city's leading architect. Early life and education McComb Jr. was born on October 17, 1763, in New York City and was of Scottish ancestry. In 1783, McComb began working with his father, John McComb Sr., a well known architect and surveyor. In 1790, he began working independently and John Jay spoke highly of his work to Alexander Hamilton. McComb would later design Hamilton's home, The Grange. In general, McComb worked in the Federal style. McComb died in 1853, and is interred at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. The annual NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament is a college ice hockey tournament held in the United States by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to determine the top men's team in Division I. The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) is a college ice hockey association. The ACHA's purpose is to be an organization of collegiate affiliated programs, which provides structure, regulates operations, and promotes quality in collegiate ice hockey. The ACHA currently has three men's and two women's divisions and includes approximately 450 teams from across the United States and Canada. Most ACHA teams offer few athletic scholarships and typically receive far less university funding. The Saint Louis Billikens men's ice hockey is an ACHA Division III ice hockey team that plays in the Silver Division (D-III) of the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association. They are coached by Head Coach Liam Knobbe and Assistant Coaches Dylan Kelly, Chaz Palumbo, and Nolan Meyer. The Billikens previously played in NCAA Division I from 1970 to 1979.
