OVW Television Championship
The OVW Television Championship was the secondary championship of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), started on January 5, 2005. When the title was originally conceived, the champion defended against randomly selected opponents, with the winner receiving a check for $1000. The title became represented by a large trophy in the summer of 2005, before being changed to a traditional championship belt in the spring of 2006. The inaugural champion was Brent Albright who defeated Seth Skyfire to win the championship on January 26, 2005. Jamin Olivencia holds the record for most reigns, with eight. At days, Seth Skyfire's first reign is the longest in the title's history. David Lee Lorenze III, Jamin Olivencia and Mohamad Ali Vaez share the record for shortest reign in the title's history at less than a day. AJZ was the final champion, in his first reign. Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) is an American professional wrestling promotion, professional wrestling promotion and former developmental territory based in Louisville, Kentucky. The company is currently run by Al Snow, Matt Jones (radio host), Matt Jones, and Louisville mayor Craig Greenberg. OVW was initially a List of National Wrestling Alliance territories, member promotion of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) from its inception in 1993 until 2000, when it became the primary Farm team#Professional wrestling, developmental territory for the World Wrestling Federation, now known as WWE. Alexander Freitas (born January 23, 1990) is a Canadian professional wrestler best known for his time in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling where he is a former Impact Gut Check Winner under the ring name Alex Silva. Professional wrestling career Training and early career (2004–2010) After being trained by his father, Freitas debuted in 2004 for Paul LeDuc's FLQ promotion. Chad Collyer (born December 12, 1974) is an American retired professional wrestler. Professional wrestling career Collyer attended Manchester College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He was an accomplished amateur wrestler, winning multiple championships over an eleven-year period, but decided to turn professional and continue his amateur career at Manchester College during his freshman year. Charlestown is a city located within Charlestown and Utica Townships, Clark County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,775 at the 2020 census.
