Jay O'Shea
James O'Shea (born 10 August 1988) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for A-League club Brisbane Roar. He is primarily an attacking midfielder, but can also operate as a winger and striker. O'Shea began his career with St Joseph's Boys AFC before moving on to play for Home Farm of the Leinster Senior League in 2005. He signed for Bray Wanderers after just two appearances for Home Farm, and spent a year-and-a-half with Bray. In 2008, O'Shea signed for Galway United, playing 60 games for the club in all competitions, and attracted a lot of interest from English Football League and Premier League teams. He subsequently joined Birmingham City in August 2009 for an undisclosed fee, and made his Premier League debut shortly after against Manchester United. Mark O'Shea (born 16 February 1977) is an Australian singer-songwriter. He had a solo career in the 1990s, before forming the band Zinc in 2002. In 2007, he formed O'Shea with his wife Jay. Biography 1977–2001: Solo career Mark O'Shea was born on 16 February 1977. At the age of 17 in 1993, O'Shea won the Gympie Music Muster talent competition which subsequently led to a record deal with ABC Country. Mark Timothy O'Shea (born 9 May 1956) is an English herpetologist, photographer, author, lecturer, and television personality. He is known internationally as the presenter of the Animal Planet/Discovery Channel series ''O'Shea's Big Adventure''. Career Originally from Wolverhampton, Mark O'Shea moved to Shropshire in 2001. Since 1980, O'Shea has conducted herpetological fieldwork in over 30 countries on six continents but he has special interest in the Australo-Papuan region. He has worked in Papua New Guinea since 1986 when he first visited the country as a member of the scientific directing staff of Operation Raleigh. Lucius Trant O'Shea (18 March 1858 – 29 April 1920) was a British chemist and mining engineer; between 1908 and 1920 he acted as the general secretary of the Institution of Mining Engineers of Great Britain. Biography O'Shea was the eldest son of Major R. P. O'Shea; he was also a grandson of admiral Lucius Curtis and a descendant from admiral Lord Rodney. Kelvin Joseph "Kel" O'Shea (13 July 1933 – 22 January 2015) was an Australian representative rugby league footballer, a second-rower from Queensland whose club career was played with the Western Suburbs Magpies in Sydney. He is rated among the nation's best players of the 20th century. Club career O'Shea first came to prominence from Queensland in 1954 when while playing for Ayr Colts he was selected for Australia. John Augustus O'Shea (24 June 1839 – 13 March 1905) was an Irish soldier, journalist and novelist. Biography Born at Nenagh, Ireland, the son of journalist John O'Shea, in 1856 he was sent to study medicine at the Catholic University of Ireland in Dublin. Two of his sisters, Elizabeth and Marion, were also writers.
