The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports ( no, Norges idrettsforbund og olympiske og paralympiske komité; NIF) is the umbrella organization for sport in Norway. Jan Petter Lindvall (born March 18, 1950 in Kåfjord) is a Norwegian retired cross-country skier who competed from 1982 to 1984. Oddvar Brå
Oddvar Brå (born 16 March 1951) is a Norwegian former cross-country skier. He was among the best skiers in Norway, the three-times winner of the World Cup (1972–73, then named "World ranking", 1974–75 and 1978–79) and the winner of 16 national championships. His success in the major international championships was more modest. Career Brå participated in the 1972 Winter Olympics and the 1991 Holmenkollen ski festival, but his first individual major international win was at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo, where he won the 15 km event. In this championship, he also tied for the gold medal with Alexander Zavyalov of the Soviet Union in the relay after a dramatic finish in which his pole broke. Tor Håkon Holte
Tor Håkon Holte (born 1 August 1958) is a Norwegian cross-country skier who competed from 1982 to 1987. He won the 4 × 10 km relay gold at the 1985 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld and finished ninth in the 50 km event at those same championships. Holte also won the 50 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1984. His best individual finish at the Winter Olympics was eight in the 15 km event in 1984. Holte's only other international victory was a 50 km event in Lahti in 1985. Holte has four individual Norwegian championships on 50 km and one on 15 km. Ove Robert Aunli (born 12 March 1956 in Hemne) is a Norwegian former cross-country skier. He took the Olympic bronze medal in 1980 Lake Placid when Thomas Wassberg beat Juha Mieto by one-hundredth of a second for the gold medal, and won a silver medal as part of Norway's 4 × 10 km relay team. Aunli found his biggest success at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, winning six medals. This included two golds (4 × 10 km: 1982, 1985), one silver (30 km: 1985), and three bronzes (4 × 10 km: 1978, 1987; 50 km: 1985). Aunli represented the clubs Kyrksæterøra IL and Strindheim IL. Odd Lirhus (born 18 September 1956) is a former Norwegian biathlete. At the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo he won a silver medal in the relay. He also won a gold medal in the 20 km individual at the 1978 Biathlon World Championship. In addition, he won the 20 km individual in Falun in the 1983–84 season. After that season, Lirhus took a gap year as an active biathlete to be a coach for the Canadian biathlon team, intending to return to biathlon and compete at the World Championships in Holmenkollen. He did not, however, return. From 2002 to 2005, Lirhus was the head coach for Norwegian women's biathlon team. Eirik Kvalfoss (born 25 December 1959) is a Norwegian retired biathlete. Life and career He won three medals during the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo: gold in the 10 km sprint, silver in relay and bronze in the 20 km individual. In total Kvalfoss won 11 individual Olympic and World Championship medals between 1982–1991, as well as several relay medals. He was awarded ''Morgenbladets Gullmedalje'' in 1983.
