Nobility is a social class found in many societies that have an aristocracy. It is normally ranked immediately below royalty. Nobility has often been an estate of the realm with many exclusive functions and characteristics. Noble And Greenough School
The Noble and Greenough School, commonly known as Nobles, is a coeducational, nonsectarian day and five-day boarding school for students in grades seven through twelve. It is near Boston on a campus that borders the Charles River in Dedham, Massachusetts. The current enrollment of 614 students includes a balance of boys and girls. The boarding program hosts 45 students who live on campus five days a week. The majority of students are from Massachusetts, neighboring states, and occasionally from abroad. In recent history, all members of the senior class go on to accredited four-year colleges and universities. In 2010, Nobles was ranked as the 18th best prep school in the United States by ''Forbes''. Nobles County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 22,290. Its county seat is Worthington. Nobles County comprises the Worthington, MN Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Nobles County was first occupied by the Sisseton Sioux. The first white man to set foot on the land was Joseph Nicollet who came to map out the area in 1842. Nicollet named Lake Okabena (there were two Lake Okabenas at the time), Lake Ocheda, East and West Graham Lake and the Kanaranzi Creek. The first settlement was near Graham Lakes in 1846. Gene Nobles (August 3, 1913 – September 21, 1989) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame on Nashville radio station WLAC from the 1940s through the 1970s by playing rhythm and blues music. Career Nobles was a former carnival barker, bingo dealer, and announcer on several small Southern radio stations. He became the first Euro-American disc jockey on radio to play popular African-American music regularly. He started this practice before early rock-and-roll jockeys such as Alan Freed and before his fellow WLAC announcers " John R." Richbourg, Bill "Hoss" Allen, and Herman Grizzard. The four WLAC announcers produced evening and late-night shows featuring R&B, soul music, and gospel music. Gerald Nobles (born January 4, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), is an American boxer. Professional career This Philadelphia fighter turned pro on October 6, 1995, with a first round TKO of Juan Carlos Antonio. His first nine wins were via knockout as well as fourteen of his first fifteen. In 2001, Nobles won a Unanimous 10 round decision against heavyweight Sedreck Fields. Two fights after that he took an eight round unanimous decision from Ron Guerrero in front of his hometown. She is currently Chancellor and Professor of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She previously served as the Kenan Sahin Dean of the MIT School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and Arthur and Ruth Sloan Professor of Political Science.
