Nancy Wilson (rock Musician)
Nancy Lamoureux Wilson (born March 16, 1954) is an American musician. She rose to fame alongside her older sister Ann as a guitarist, backing and occasional lead vocalist in the rock band Heart. Raised in Bellevue, Washington, Wilson began playing music as a teenager. During college, she joined her sister who had recently become the singer of Heart. The first hard rock band fronted by women, Heart released numerous albums throughout the late 1970s and 1980s; the albums ''Dreamboat Annie'' (1975), and ''Little Queen'' (1977) generated chart singles such as "Magic Man", "Crazy on You", and "Barracuda". The band also had commercial success with their eighth, ninth and tenth studio albums, ''Heart'', ''Bad Animals'' and ''Brigade'', which were released in 1985, 1987, and 1990 respectively. "These Dreams" is a song by American rock band Heart from their 1985 self-titled eighth studio album ''Heart''. It was released on January 18, 1986, as the album's third single, becoming the band's first song to top the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The single's B-side track, "Shell Shock" (on some releases), was also the B-side of Heart's previous single " Never". Background In 1985, singer-songwriter Martin Page, who co-wrote other successful songs including "We Built This City" and " King of Wishful Thinking", and Bernie Taupin, longtime collaborator of Elton John, wrote a song which would later be titled "These Dreams". The song was offered to Stevie Nicks, who expressed no interest in recording it.
