''Now You're Gone – The Album'' is the third studio album by Swedish musician Basshunter. Released on 14 July 2008, it is his debut English language album, entering the UK Albums Chart at number one, and selling in excess of 329,717 copies in the UK making it platinum. In New Zealand, the album peaked at number one in its fifth week, and was certified platinum and selling over 20,000 copies. The album spent a total of two weeks at number one. Reception Ronny Larsson from ''QX (magazine), QX'' noted that the English-language lyrics no longer refer to the data as they did on the ''LOL (Basshunter album), LOL'' album, but still sings on about nonsense, adding that dance music lyrics are not too poetic. Basshunter
Jonas Erik Altberg (; born 22 December 1984), known professionally as Basshunter, is a Swedish singer, record producer, songwriter and DJ. As indicated by his stage name, Basshunter is known for bass-heavy Eurodance music. Born and raised in Halmstad he moved to Malmö in 2006. As a young teen, Basshunter sang in a choir his mother ran. He started producing music at the age of 17, and later he started performing in local venues in his early career. In 2006, he self-released " Boten Anna" for free download a few months before he signed with labels Extensive Music and Warner Music Sweden and began commercial releases. His 2007 song " Now You're Gone" featuring Bazzheadz is based on Bazzheadz's "Now You're Gone" which uses the melody of "Boten Anna" with entirely different lyrics. "Boten Anna" ("Anna the Bot") is a song by Swedish musician Basshunter, from his first studio album, ''LOL''. Following the single's release in 2006, Basshunter gained popularity in his native Sweden, as well as Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Poland and the Netherlands. The song topped hit charts and, on 3 May 2006, was named Norway's official Russ-song of the year. It was also the most popular song at The Gathering LAN party 2006. An English version titled " Now You're Gone", sung by Sebastian Westwood, using unrelated lyrics, was released in December 2007. He is best known as the co-founder, producer and former bass guitar player of KC and the Sunshine Band. Harry Wayne Casey (born January 31, 1951), better known by his stage name KC, is an American record producer, musician, and songwriter. He is best known for his band, KC and the Sunshine Band, with co-founder Richard Finch (musician), Richard Finch. Casey has enjoyed success and recognition as a producer of several hits for other artists, and as a pioneer of the disco genre of the 1970s. Biography He grew up in Hialeah, Florida and graduated from Hialeah High School in September 1969. In January 1981, he survived a serious car crash when another car hit his vehicle head-on. ''LOL'' (stylized ''LOL ''; LOL is short for " laughing out loud", and is an emoticon for "satisfied") is the second studio album by the Swedish musician Basshunter, and was released on 28 August 2006 by Warner Music Sweden. An international edition was released on 22 December 2006, with a red version of the cover artwork. The international version includes the original album's Swedish songs (with the exception of "Sverige") with their titles translated into English, a slightly-different track order and additional tracks, including "Jingle Bells". Background On 21 November 2005, Basshunter announced that he was working on a new album and had completed ten songs.
