November To Remember (1993)
November to Remember (1993), the inaugural November to Remember professional wrestling event produced by Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW), took place on November 13, 1993 (the day after Terror at Tabor) in the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States. Ten professional wrestling matches took place at the event. The main event was a tag team match in which the Heavyweight Champion Sabu teamed with Road Warrior Hawk to take on the Television Champion Terry Funk and King Kong Bundy, in which both Sabu and Funk defended the ECW Heavyweight Championship and the ECW Television Championship respectively. Two matches from the event ( The Sandman versus Jim Neidhart and The Suicide Blondes (Johnny Hotbody and Tony Stetson) versus Johnny Gunn and Tommy Dreamer) aired on episode #32 of ''Eastern Championship Wrestling'' on November 16, 1993. Eastern Championship Wrestling
Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) was an American professional wrestling promotion that was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and operated by its parent company HHG Corporation. The promotion was founded in 1992 by Tod Gordon as National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) affiliate Eastern Championship Wrestling. The following year, businessman and wrestling manager Paul Heyman took over the creative end of the promotion from Eddie Gilbert (wrestler), Eddie Gilbert. Under Heyman, the promotion was rechristened as Extreme Championship Wrestling. James Fullington (born June 16, 1963), better known by his ring name The Sandman, is an American semi-retired professional wrestler, best known for his career with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), where he developed into a smoking and drinking "Hardcore Icon" and held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship a record five times. UltraClash was the first UltraClash professional wrestling supercard event produced by the American professional wrestling promotion Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW). The event took place at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States on September 18, 1993. It was the first ECW event to be booked by Paul Heyman. The event featured the debuts of Ian Rotten, the Public Enemy and commentator Joey Styles. Face (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy", "good-doer", or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans. They are portrayed as heroes relative to the heel wrestlers, who are analogous to villains. Traditionally, face characters wrestle within the rules and avoid cheating while behaving positively towards the referee and the audience. Such characters are also referred to as blue-eyes in British wrestling and ''técnicos'' in ''lucha libre''. A narrative thread, or plot thread (or, more ambiguously, a storyline), refers to particular elements and techniques of writing to center the story in the action or experience of characters rather than to relate a matter in a dry "all-knowing" sort of narration.
