North Carolina's 29th Senate district is one of 50 districts in the North Carolina Senate. It has been represented by Republican Party (United States), Republican Dave Craven since 2023. Geography Since 2023, the district has included all of Montgomery County, North Carolina, Montgomery, Richmond County, North Carolina, Richmond, and Anson County, North Carolina, Anson counties, as well as parts of Randolph County, North Carolina, Randolph and Union County, North Carolina, Union counties. The district overlaps with the 52nd, 55th, 67th, 70th, and 78th state house districts. Henderson County, North Carolina
Henderson County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 116,281. Its county seat is Hendersonville. Henderson County is part of the Asheville, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The county was formed in 1838 from the southern part of Buncombe County. It was named for Leonard Henderson, Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court from 1829 to 1833. There is no evidence Henderson ever passed through the area. In 1855 parts of Henderson County and Rutherford County were combined to form Polk County, and in 1861 parts of Henderson County and Jackson County were combined to form Transylvania County. Henderson County, which in 1861 encompassed present-day Transylvania County as well, contributed 1,296 soldiers to the Confederate States Army out of its approximately 10,000 population, as well as 130 Union troops. Davidson County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, its population was 168,930. Its county seat is Lexington, and its largest community is Thomasville. Davidson County is included in the Winston-Salem, NC metropolitan statistical area, which is also included in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point, NC combined statistical area. Thomasville is a city in Davidson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 27,183 at the 2020 census. The city was once notable for its furniture industry, as were its neighbors High Point, North Carolina, High Point and Lexington, North Carolina, Lexington. This Piedmont Triad community was established in 1852 and hosts the state's oldest festival, "Everybody's Day". History John Warwick Thomas was born June 27, 1800, and by age 22 owned in the Cedar Lodge area after marrying Mary Lambeth, daughter of Moses Lambeth. By age 30 he was a state representative. Archdale is a city in Guilford and Randolph counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Located 15 miles southwest of Greensboro, it is part of the Greensboro-High Point Metropolitan Statistical Area of the Piedmont Triad metro region.
