The North and South Women's Amateur Golf Championship is an annual golf tournament held since 1903 at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. An invitational tournament, participants are chosen based upon their performance in national amateur championships and overall competitive record. Cydney Clanton
Cydney Clanton (born July 18, 1989) is an American professional golfer who has played on the LPGA Tour and the Epson Tour. She has won three times on the Epson Tour and once on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Clanton played college golf at Auburn University where she won twice. She also won the North and South Women's Amateur. She played on the winning 2010 Curtis Cup team where she won two matches and halved a third. She also played on the U.S. team at the 2010 Espirito Santo Trophy that finished second to the South Korea team. Professional career Clanton turned professional in 2011 and played on the Symetra Tour that year. She earned her LPGA Tour card for 2012 through the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Beth Bauer Grace (born March 15, 1980) is an American former professional golfer. Bauer was born in Largo, Florida. As an amateur, she won the 1997 U.S. Girls' Junior and in 1998 and 1999 she earned back-to-back victories at the North and South Women's Amateur at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. Meredith Duncan (born March 25, 1980) is an American professional golfer. Duncan was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. She won the Women's Western Amateur in 2000 and 2001. She won the 2001 North and South Women's Amateur at Pinehurst. She followed this up by capturing that year's U.S. Women's Amateur in a match that the USGA says "veteran observers called the greatest final in the history of the United States Golf Association championships". Brittany Lang (born August 22, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She has won one major championship, the 2016 U.S. Women's Open. Amateur career Born in Richmond, Virginia and raised in McKinney, Texas, Lang had a decorated amateur career.
