Best XI The Best XI was awarded to the eleven players considered to have been the best in their respective positions. Golden Ball Award The Golden Ball was the league's MVP award. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. The winner of the final claimed the Soccer Bowl trophy. Juan Fernando Arango Sáenz (born 16 May 1980) is a Venezuelan former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Arango was considered by some in the sport as the greatest Venezuelan footballer of all time. Ottawa Fury Football Club was a Canadian professional soccer club based in Ottawa, Ontario. The club competed in the North American Soccer League and USL Championship and played its home games at TD Place Stadium. The Ottawa Fury FC were dissolved as a soccer club on November 8, 2019 and their USL franchise rights were sold to Miami FC on December 11, 2019. Romuald Désiré Peiser (born 3 August 1979) is a French former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He serves as goalkeeping coach of Canadian club Atlético Ottawa. Kyle Patrick Reynish (born November 3, 1983) is a former American soccer goalkeeper. Early life and education Reynish attended Hart High School in Santa Clarita, California where he had a 0.84 career goals against average, as well as setting the school's single-season (14) and career (38) shutout records. He played college soccer for the University of California Santa Barbara from 2002 to 2006, sitting out between his freshman and sophomore seasons as a redshirt in the 2003 season. Daryl Sattler (born September 5, 1980, in Miami, Florida) is an American retired soccer player who is currently a goalkeeping coach with the North Florida Ospreys men's soccer team.
