Matej Mináč
Matej Mináč (born 1 April 1961) is a Slovaks, Slovak film director. Career Mináč has directed three films about Sir Nicholas Winton, a British people, Briton who organized the rescue of 669 Jews, Jewish children from German-occupied Czechoslovakia on the eve of World War II in an operation later known as the Czech Kindertransport: the drama ''All My Loved Ones'' (1999) (the role of Winton was played by Rupert Graves), the documentary ''The Power of Good: Nicholas Winton'' (2002), which won an Emmy Award, the documentary with feature re-enactments ''Nicky's Family'' (2011) and Children Saved from the Nazis: The Story of Sir Nicholas Winton (2016). Mináč also made a full-length documentary with feature re-enactments Through the Eyes of the Photographer (2015) on the Slovak photographer Zuzana Mináčová, his mother. Nicholas Winton
Sir Nicholas George Winton (; 19 May 1909 – 1 July 2015) was a British stockbroker and humanitarian who helped to rescue refugee children, mostly Jews, Jewish, whose families had fled persecution by Nazi Germany. The Dalai Lama
The Dalai Lama (, ; ) is the head of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. The term is part of the full title "Holiness Knowing Everything Vajradhara Dalai Lama" (圣 识一切 瓦齐尔达喇 达赖 喇嘛) given by Altan Khan, the first Shunyi King of Ming dynasty, Ming China. He offered it in appreciation to the Gelug school's then-leader, Sonam Gyatso, who received it in 1578 at Yanghua Monastery. At that time, Sonam Gyatso had just given teachings to the Khan, and so the title of Dalai Lama was also given to the entire tulku lineage. Klára Issová (born 26 April 1979), sometimes known as Klára Issa, is a Czech-Syrian film, stage and television actress. In 1997, she won the Czech Lion Award for Best Supporting Actress in ''Nejasná zpráva o konci světa''. She is the cousin of actress Martha Issová. Josef Schlesinger, (May 11, 1928 – February 11, 2019) was a Canadian foreign correspondent, television journalist, and author. Early life and career Schlesinger was born to a devout Jewish family in Vienna, Austria, on May 11, 1928. He was raised in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, where his parents, Emmanuel and Lilli (Fischl) Schlesinger, owned a cleaning supplies shop. After Czechoslovakia was occupied by Germany in 1938, he and his younger brother, Ernest, were sent to England by his parents as part of the kindertransport, organized by Nicholas Winton, that rescued 669 Jewish children.
