Niccolò Di Segna
Niccolò di Segna (died around 1348) was an Italian painter from Siena. His activity is documented starting from 1331. Influenced by Duccio di Buoninsegna and Simone Martini, he was an exponent of the Sienese School. He collaborated with Pietro Lorenzetti to the frescoes in Santa Maria dei Servi (Siena) and painted. Simone Martini
Simone Martini ( – July 1344) was an Italian painter born in Siena. He was a major figure in the development of early Italian painting and greatly influenced the development of the International Gothic style. It is thought that Martini was a pupil of Duccio di Buoninsegna, the leading Sienese painter of his time. According to late Renaissance art biographer Giorgio Vasari, Simone was instead a pupil of Giotto di Bondone, with whom he went to Rome to paint at the Old St. Peter's Basilica, Giotto also executing a mosaic there. Martini's brother-in-law was the artist Lippo Memmi. Very little documentation of Simone's life survives, and many attributions are debated by art historians. According to E. H. Pietro Lorenzetti
Pietro Lorenzetti (; – 1348) or Pietro Laurati was an Italian painter, active between and 1345. Together with his younger brother Ambrogio Lorenzetti, Ambrogio, he introduced Realism (arts), naturalism into Sienese School, Sienese art. In their artistry and experiments with three-dimensional and spatial arrangements, the brothers foreshadowed the art of the Renaissance. The Church of Santa Maria dei Servi is a Romanesque architecture, Romanesque style, Roman Catholic church in the Terzo of San Martino in the city of Siena, Tuscany, Italy. Pinacoteca Nazionale (Siena)
The Pinacoteca Nazionale is a national museum in Siena, Tuscany, Italy. Inaugurated in 1932, it houses especially late medieval and Renaissance paintings from Italian artists. It is housed in the Brigidi and Buonsignori palaces in the city's center: the former, built in the 14th century, it is traditionally identified as the Pannocchieschi family's residence. The Palazzo Bichi-Buonsignori, built in the 15th century, was until recently thought to have a 19th-century neo-medieval façade based on the city's Palazzo Pubblico, Siena, Palazzo Pubblico; however, restoration in 2022 revealed that it is mostly original. The Cathedral of Sansepolcro (Italian: ''Duomo di Sansepolcro''; officially a co-cathedral) is a Catholic church in Sansepolcro, Tuscany, central Italy. The Museo Horne is a museum focusing on art and furnishings of the 14th and 15th centuries, located in the former Palazzo Corsi, on via de' Benci number 6 in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
