Netherlands Women's Cricket Team In Thailand In 2022–23
The Netherlands women's national cricket team, Netherlands women's cricket team toured Thailand in November and December 2022 to play four Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs) and four Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). The matches were played at the Royal Chiangmai Golf Club in Mae Faek, Chiang Mai province. The WODI matches were the first played by Thailand since the International Cricket Council granted them (along with four other nations, including the Netherlands) ODI status in May 2022. Thailand won the first game of the ODI series – their debut in the format – by 100 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method. Thailand went on to take the series 4–0. Thailand also won the opening match of the T20I series in convincing fashion, by a margin of 10 wickets. Netherlands managed to bounce back in the second T20I by winning the match on the last ball, which was also their first ever victory over Thailand in international cricket. Naruemol Chaiwai
Naruemol Chaiwai ( Thai: นฤมล ใจไว, born 2 July 1990) is a Thai cricketer. In April 2021, the Cricket Association of Thailand appointed her as the captain of the Thailand women's team, replacing Sornnarin Tippoch. Biography Chaiwai played for the national cricket team in the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier in February 2017. She was the leading run-scorer for Thailand in the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, with 90 runs in five matches. In June 2018, she was named in Thailand's squad for the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament. She made her Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) debut for Thailand on 3 June 2018, in the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup. In February 2019, she was the leading run-scorer in the 2019 ICC Women's Qualifier Asia tournament, with 181 runs in six matches.
