''Neptune's Daughter'' is a 1949 American Technicolor musical romantic comedy film released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer starring Esther Williams, Red Skelton, Ricardo Montalbán, Betty Garrett, Keenan Wynn, Xavier Cugat and Mel Blanc. Edward Buzzell
Edward Buzzell (November 13, 1895 – January 11, 1985) was an American film actor and director whose credits include ''Child of Manhattan (film), Child of Manhattan'' (1933); ''Honolulu (1939 film), Honolulu'' (1939); the Marx Brothers films ''At the Circus'' (1939) and ''Go West (1940 film), Go West'' (1940); the musicals ''Best Foot Forward (1943 film), Best Foot Forward'' (1943), ''Song of the Thin Man'' (1947), and ''Neptune's Daughter (1949 film), Neptune's Daughter'' (1949); and ''Easy to Wed'' (1946). George Kline Mann (December 2, 1905 – November 22, 1977) was best known as the taller half of the comedic and acrobatic dance act Barto and Mann. Early life Mann was born in Hollywood, California. Mike Mazurki (December 25, 1907 – December 9, 1990, born Markiian Yulianovych Mazurkevych) was a Ukrainian-American actor and professional wrestler who appeared in more than 142 films. ''Bathing Beauty'' is a 1944 American Musical film, musical romantic comedy film directed by George Sidney, and starring Red Skelton and Esther Williams. Although this was not Williams' screen debut, it was her first Technicolor musical. The film's working title was ''Mr. Co-Ed'', with Skelton having top billing. However, once MGM executives watched the first cut of the film, they realized that Williams' role should be showcased more, and changed the title to ''Bathing Beauty'', giving her prominent billing and featuring her bathing suit-clad figure on the posters. The film is also Janis Paige's film debut.
