Nemzeti Bajnokság I (, commonly abbreviated NB I) is the premier futsal league in Hungary, administered by the Hungarian Football Federation. The league, which is played under UEFA rules, was founded in 1993 and currently consists of 12 teams. Nemzeti Bajnokság II (men's Futsal)
The NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams, though now it's just one league table with 16 teams as of the 2024–25 season. The champion and the runner-up will ascend to the first division while the two lowest teams in NB II are relegated to NB III. Format On 2 March 2017, the Hungarian Football Federation announced that the number of the teams in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II will not be reduced to 12. Magyar Kupa (men's Futsal)
The Hungarian Cup (, ), officially known as MOL Magyar Kupa for sponsorship reasons, is the Hungarian cup competition for football clubs. It was started by the Hungarian Football Association'','' in 1909, eight years after the commencement of the Hungarian League. Besides all of the professional clubs of Hungary numerous amateur sides take part every year. These have to qualify through local cup competitions. The most successful participant in the Magyar Kupa has been Ferencváros with 24 wins, followed by local rivals MTK with 12 cups. The current holder is Paks, having won their 1st title in 2024. The UEFA Futsal Champions League is an annual futsal competition for European club teams organized by UEFA. It was founded as the UEFA Futsal Cup in 2001 and replaced the Futsal European Clubs Championship, an unofficial competition held since 1984. Rába ETO Futsal Club
The Rába (; ; ) is a river in southeastern Austria and western Hungary and a right tributary of the Danube. Geography Its source is in Austria, some kilometres east of Bruck an der Mur below Heubodenhöhe Hill. It flows through the Austrian states of Styria and Burgenland, and the Hungarian counties of Vas and Győr-Moson-Sopron. Of the Rába's length, about 100 km is in Austria. Győri ETO Futsal Club
Győri ETO Futsal Club is a Hungarian futsal club from Győr, that plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. History Founded in 2006 as ''Unihall FC'', the team entered the second division in its inaugural year and immediately won promotion to the top division. In 2008 banking company Duna Takarék joined the club as a naming sponsor, and with their support ETO reached the NB I playoffs first time in their history. Building on that success, the team further strengthened their squad for the following year and finally went to win the title in 2010. They also collected the Hungarian cup and Hungarian supercup title, thus becoming one of the most dominant sides in the domestic futsal just in a few years. The club ceased to exist on July 1, 2018 without a legal successor.
