''Need'' is the sixth studio album by American electronic music duo 3OH!3. It was released on August 27, 2021, via Photo Finish Records. The album title and cover is a nod to their second studio album, ''Want'' (2008). Background and recording After four years since releasing any new music, '' Night Sports'' (2016), the duo returned releasing " Lonely Machines" in 2020. During those four years, Nathaniel Motte and Sean Foreman spent time writing and producing for other artists. They returned to Boulder, Colorado, and wrote and recorded the album prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the making of the album, they re-signed with Photo Finish Records, who distributed the album when it was released. Describing the album, Foreman stated, "it fits into something that you'd hear on ''Want''. It would be like the ''Want'' lost track, but it's like a modernized version of what we do with that." 3OH!3 (pronounced "three oh three") is an American music duo from Boulder, Colorado, consisting of American vocalists Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte. They are best known for their single "Don't Trust Me", which was the lead single from their second album ''Want (3OH!3 album), Want'' as well as their breakthrough hit, reaching number seven on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. KTCL (93.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Owned by iHeartMedia, it broadcasts an alternative rock format targeting the Denver metro area. Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1964 – March 26, 1995), known professionally as Eazy-E, was an American rapper who propelled West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the group N.W.A and its label, Ruthless Records. Eazy-E is often referred to as the "Godfather of Gangsta Rap". Born in Compton, California, Wright had several legal troubles before founding Ruthless in 1987. The Beastie Boys were an American Hip-hop, hip hop and Rap rock, rap rock group formed in New York City in 1979. They were composed of Ad-Rock, Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz (vocals, guitar), Adam Yauch, Adam "MCA" Yauch (vocals, bass), and Mike D, Michael "Mike D" Diamond (vocals, drums).
